Low-cost Embedded Solution for Measuring Power Quality Parameters

Power quality issues are becoming a serious concern for electrical power users considering the negative influence that these phenomena can have on the electrical equipment and the utility bill. That is why more solutions are required for measuring the power quality parameters. This paper presents a lowcost approach based on an inexpensive RISC microprocessor and frequency analysis for constant measuring and monitoring of specific parameters.
